The Rise of The Lich King Book
The Rise of The Lich King Book is one of my favourite world of warcraft books I've ever read, it is about Arthas Menethil who betrayed and killed his father in search for power, he found this power in Northrend where he found Frostmourne, a cursed blade that made him the Lich King, controlling the undead hordes he seek to destroy the horde and take over it's territories , but in this search not everything happened at once, he was still a child when he fell in love with Jain Proudmoore who left him because he became a monster, the beautiful start and a tragic end made this book one of my favorites because it is about my favourite game World of Warcraft, this game has many books that I may end up telling the storries too, he went with a dwarf in search for answeres and power and in the end he found this blade of power who actually made him insanely mad, in the cold wastes of Northrend he became familliar with the icy terrain of the land and decided to make his home there where he could reign over the entire scourge ( a bunch of undead ghouls which became his army) he would control the scourge to make ends meet, with this power over the scourge he sought to end the Argent Crusade and finish his evil plan, but something happened, he ended up 1v1 with Illidan Stormrage which he would be called the Betrayer, wielding warglaives he fought Arthas for life and death, I do not remember who won, Illidan or Arthas but I remember the ending of the book with this epic battle between them, the book has many ups and downs but in the end it's about the story of the book and not the ending, the start was great but somewhere along the line he changed into this evil malefic monster who would want to conquer all World of Warcraft universes ( which they are 4 ) the dwarf left him with frostmourne which made him mad and insanely powerful, not to mention that not only the sword was taken but also the armor of the Lich king which would talk to him in whispers telling him what do to in the future, the book was great I would love reading it again but sadly he killed his father and won the despise of Jain which loved him so much, he betrayed Uther and Jaina both on the same time when he went for Mal'Ganis in the Culling of Stratholme
